About Me

A bit more about me as a person

I grew up in a small village about an hour from Lisbon. My mind never stayed still — I tried it all: competitive swimming, basketball, skateboarding, gaming, and drawing. That curiosity and creativity eventually led me to visual arts, which became the foundation of my career in design and product.

I had a happy childhood, and later spent several years abroad in Belgium and the Netherlands. That time away made me deeply value Portugal — not only as a home but as a place where I can give back, invest in my community, and share what I've learned along the way.

Today, I live with my partner of five years. We recently bought our first home, and we're having a lot of fun (and work) designing every detail together. I'm happiest when I'm cooking for friends, traveling, or just enjoying simple moments.

I'm deeply passionate about product, design, and psychology. For me, product management is about constantly questioning assumptions, looking at problems from different angles, and finding simple, effective solutions.

I'm pragmatic and focused on execution. I believe momentum matters, and I push projects forward even when things are ambiguous.

I hold myself to high standards, but I care deeply about the people I work with. The best results come when teams feel respected, challenged, and supported.

I love working with egoless, collaborative teams — people who care more about the work than about being right. My style is to challenge my team to do their best work, but also to make sure we enjoy the process together.

Interests

Outside of work, my interests include:

  • Documentary Series: Watching thought-provoking documentaries and series.
  • Fitness & Sports: Going to the gym and playing padel regularly.
  • Visual Arts: Drawing people and exploring different art forms.
  • Learning: Reading technical books and picking up new skills.
  • Cooking: Preparing meals for friends — my favorite way to relax.
  • Gaming: Occasional gaming sessions to unwind.
  • Gardening: Starting to learn about plants and growing things.

I also want to travel more, practice writing, learn Dutch, and spend more time in nature.
